Heavy rain potential next 48 hours

Paul Dorian

Drenching thunderstorms are passing north of the city this morning, and an occasional heavy shower or thunderstorm is likely over the next 48 hours or so. A meandering frontal system will hang just to our south over the next couple of days and several disturbances will ride along it causing rounds of showers and thunderstorms. A general drying trend will begin over the weekend so that by Sunday rain-free conditions are likely. Today- mostly cloudy, muggy, occasional showers and thunderstorms which can contain heavy rain, highs near 80

Tonight- mostly cloudy, chance for more showers and thunderstorms which can contain heavy rain, upper 60’s

Thurs- mostly cloudy, showers and thunderstorms likely, some of this rain can get heavy, near 80

Fri- partly sunny, chance for another shower or thunderstorm, highs low 80’s

Sat- partly sunny, still a chance for a shower or thunderstorms, low-to-mid 80’s

Sun- mainly sunny, warm, low 80’s
