Discussion

In general, there will be somewhat unusual weather around here for the next several days compared to recent weeks that will likely feature high temperatures consistently below 90 degrees and the potential for a soaking rain event. High pressure will control our weather into the early part of the weekend, but then low pressure will advance to the east from the Midwest. The end result will be a decent start to the weekend on Saturday morning, but a shower or thunderstorm will be possible by Saturday afternoon and then quite likely for Saturday night and Sunday and the rain on Sunday could be significant. Another high pressure system then follows to start next week and this system will also feature moderate temperatures and humidity. Elsewhere, the tropical Atlantic is getting more and more active and there are now two waves just off the west coast of Africa that will have to be monitored over the next several days.
