Discussion

Our significant rain event continues today with more showers and thunderstorms likely today, tonight and tomorrow, but it won’t be nearly as heavy or as steady as yesterday. Low pressure is only slowly winding its way to the east coast and by the time it moves out of our picture several inches of rainfall will have accumulated on many parts of the Mid-Atlantic region since the rains began on Saturday night. High pressure will finally take control of our weather on Wednesday, but that reprieve may be short-lived as more unsettled weather is possible again later Thursday and Friday.
