9:30 PM | Winds could gust to 50 mph later tonight as front whips through the region

Paul Dorian

Discussion

A strong cold front currently extends from north-central PA to central West Virginia and it is moving fairly rapidly fromt west-to-east. It should approach our region during the middle of the night and winds are likely to gust to between 40 and 50 mph along and just behind the front. These strong wind gusts could very well bring down some branches and limbs later tonight and the winds will continue to gust past 35 mph well into tomorrow. Temperatures tomorrow will generally hold in the 30's as a cold air mass replaces the current mild air throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
