Discussion

This widespread warm weather pattern will unquestionably break many temperature records over the next several days in the eastern two/thirds of the country, and it looks like it will continue here in the Mid-Atlantic for the next ten days or so. There will be a mix of clouds and sun around here today with temperatures climbing to 70 degrees or so, and there is the chance for an afternoon thunderstorm after the early morning showers, but much of the day will be rain-free. Generally, dry conditions continue here after today until late this week when showers should return as a weak frontal system approaches the area. It does cool off a bit for Friday and the weekend compared to today, but then even warmer weather is likely here early next week.
