Discussion

A dramatic change in the overall temperature pattern will occur later this weekend and early next week. High pressure will build off the east coast this weekend at the same time low pressure heads towards the Great Lakes. The combination of the high building off the east coast and the low moving to our northwest will promote a widespread southwesterly flow of air and temperatures by Sunday afternoon will be off to the races in the Mid-Atlantic region. In fact, high temperatures on Sunday should reach 75 degrees and then move well into the 80’s on Monday. There will be an increasing threat for showers early next week as several disturbances will ride up along a boundary that will set up near us. It turns colder again late next week.
