Discussion

Upper level high pressure continues to sit just to the west of the region and this will keep us rather dry and hot for the next couple of days. The weekend will bring a few changes to the overall pattern as several disturbances begin to break down the upper-level ridge in the southwest US and this will lead to an increasing threat for showers and thunderstorms as monsoonal moisture gradually returns to the Central Rockies.
