Discussion

A cool front pushed off of the east coast overnight and high pressure will build into the region for today and part of Friday. Another cool front, however, will approach the region later Friday and that will renew our chances for showers and thunderstorms. The general trend for the weekend will be for cooler conditions and while Sunday looks dry, a couple of showers and thunderstorms cannot be ruled out for Saturday. Temperatures could very well hold at or below the 80 degree mark for highs on Sunday and Monday as cool Canadian high pressure takes over.
