11:40 AM | Cold air moves in today and accumulating snow is likely early tonight

Paul Dorian

Discussion

Colder temperatures will follow a cold frontal passage later today and precipitation in the form of a cold rain is likely to move in initially behind the front later today, but then it should change to snow by the time sunset rolls around. Snow is likely tonight in and around the Denver metro area and on its eastern side to Aurora with 1-3 inches of accumulation likely by late tonight. Snow may linger tomorrow in the mountains, but clearing skies are likely around Denver. Tonight’s temperatures will drop to perhaps the lowest levels seen yet this season with upper teens possible by morning.
