Discussion

Another Arctic blast has arrived with snow showers likely and a quick coating to an inch or two is possible. Winds will pick up as the day progresses and temperatures will slowly drop through the 20’s. By late tonight, single digits will be common in suburban locations and the wind chill values will be below zero. Friday remains quite cold, but there will be a noticeable moderation in temperatures on Saturday. That moderation will be short-lived; however, as another cold shot will arrive later in the weekend leading to an extended period of unsettled weather. Snow or a mixed bag of precipitation is likely on Sunday and then, as it turns colder early next week, snow might become more prevalent with low pressure organizing near the Mid-Atlantic coastline.
