Discussion

Temperatures climbed well into the 80’s on Monday along the I-95 corridor and the 80’s will likely be reached again today, but the approach of a cool front later in the day will increase the chances for showers and scattered thunderstorms. The cool front will stall nearby on Wednesday and that proximity will keep the shower threat on the table for tomorrow, but nice weather is likely to return for Thursday and Friday - and perhaps even last right through the upcoming weekend. Elsewhere, a slow-moving “tropical-like” system will form this week off the Southeast US coastline and there is a chance that it develops into the first officially-named (Ana) tropical system of the season.
