Discussion

A milder flow of air will develop today in the Mid-Atlantic region and it will last right into Friday, but it won’t come without the threat for an occasional shower. An area of low pressure could, in fact, generate an occasional shower around here overnight as it tracks across Pennsylvania from west-to-east and more showers are likely late tomorrow or tomorrow night. Another low pressure system will then swing a cold front through the area on Friday and that frontal passage will spark even more shower activity, and perhaps even a few isolated thunderstorms in the Mid-Atlantic region. Once that storm pulls off to our north later Friday, it’ll intensify rapidly and our winds will strengthen out of the NW as colder air pours into the region. Saturday promises to be a windy day with much colder conditions compared to the much warmer-than-normal temperatures that we’ll experience in the Wednesday through Friday time period.
