Discussion
A "backdoor" cold front slipped through the region in the overnight hours and the result is an ocean flow of air with low clouds, fog and drizzle that will stick around through the morning hours. Skies should remain mostly cloudy this afternoon and there can be a shower or thunderstorm, but it'll stay considerably cooler than yesterday. The marine layer will retreat this weekend and we'll turn milder with some sun on both weekend days. The 70's will rule early next week and it appears as though the warmth will continue right through to the end of the week. Elsewhere, the main weather action in the early-to-middle part of next week will be across the central US where heavy rain and severe weather can occur.
