Discussion

High pressure off the east coast will supply mild air for the region for much of the week, but there is still another factor that will play a role in our weather. There is enough low-level moisture around from the recent humid ocean flow of air for morning low clouds and fog to stubbornly inhibit sunshine during the early morning hours. Clouds and fog will thin out later this morning, but then could redevelop again in the overnight hours. The warmest conditions of the week are likely to occur during the second half when temperatures should reach the low-to-mid 70’s. Elsewhere, very heavy rain and severe weather will occur over the next couple of days in the heartland from Minnesota to Texas. Some areas will receive up to ten inches of rain in the south-central states between now and Wednesday.
