Discussion
A wave of low pressure is riding up along a stalled out frontal system today and the result is some heavy rain for parts of the Mid-Atlantic. This low pressure area will move to our northeast by early tomorrow, but another front will approach us from the northwest late tomorrow and that will continue the shower/thunderstorm threat around here although there will be some sunny breaks on Wednesday as well. By Thursday, high pressure will build back into the region and nicer weather will return, and it may just last right through the upcoming weekend.
