3:20 PM | Threat for more heavy rain and thunderstorms across western Montgomery and northern Chester Counties between 3:30 and 7:30 PM

Paul Dorian

Discussion

The potential exists for more heavy rain later this afternoon and early this evening across western Montgomery and northern Chester Counties in SE PA as this juicy air mass is currently supporting a band of showers and thunderstorms in east-central PA. The flow in the lower atmosphere is now out of the north and this batch of rain is pin wheeling from the north to the south towards the N and W suburbs of Philly. The threat for showers and thunderstorms exists from between 3:30 and 7:30PM and since the storms are slow moving, the chance exists for heavy rainfall with ponding on the roadways along with wind gusts to 40 mph.
