Discussion

Our decent weather pattern will continue right through tomorrow, but the weekend will turn out much colder as a strong cold front will whip through the region by early Saturday and this will usher in Arctic air for Saturday and Sunday. In fact, this cold air outbreak is likely to cause a widespread, albeit short-lived, “lake effect” snow event from late Friday night into Sunday for those locations downstream of Lakes Erie and Ontario. The Arctic chill modifies slightly early next week, but then another widespread cold air outbreak is destined to hit the region from the Central Plains to the Mid-Atlantic by the middle of next week.
