Discussion

The overall weather pattern continues to favor chilly, dry weather for the next few days. High pressure will build south of the area into the weekend keeping us chilly and dry with below normal temperatures. There will be lots of moisture just off the east coast by late in the weekend and the computer models have it staying off the coast; however, we'll have to continue to monitor it as it not out of the question that it could back in affecting us early on Sunday with some light snow. Next week will bring about some moderation in temperatures as the atmosphere relaxes for awhile before a resurgence of cold moves back in later in the month. One final note, the natiowide snowpack (~66%) is the highest it has been in the last ten years to start off a new year.
