Discussion

A stalled out frontal system just to the southeast of the I-95 corridor will act as a pathway for another low pressure system to produce precipitation around here today, tonight and early Wednesday. It won't be too far to the north and west of the District where it'll be cold enough during this storm for some sleet and/or snow to mix in, but it looks like a chilly rain in the District and surrounding communities. Later in the week, we’ll have to watch one more low pressure system which could stay just to our south and east, but it is a close call here for potential accumulating snow. It'll get somewhat colder on Friday, but temperatures will modify this weekend before a significant cool down takes place early next week.
