Discussion

Low pressure will trek up to our west later today from the Tennessee Valley to the eastern Great lakes and it will spread a steady, soaking rain here later this afternoon and early tonight. The very mild weather pattern of the past several days will then give way to a more normal temperature pattern with highs closer to 50 degrees as compared with the balmy 70 degrees reached in many spots on Monday. The rainfall totals from this storm should be in the range of 0.5 to 1.5 inches by the time the storm winds down later tonight and this could very well send the official Philadelphia year-to-date rainfall totals to over 60 inches (currently 59.38” at the Airport).
