Discussion

Low pressure from the Deep South is headed in our general direction and a soaking rain event is likely from tonight and into early Friday. By the time the storm winds down by late Friday morning, most areas around here should have received between 0.5 and 1.0 inches of rainfall. Once the storm is over, tomorrow afternoon will feature windy and very mild conditions with some sunshine and temperatures in the 50's. There will be a general cooling trend from this weekend into early next week with highs in the mid-to-upper 40’s on Saturday, low-to-mid 40's on Sunday, and then holding in the 30’s on Monday. The brunt of this next shot of cold air will, in fact, occur during Sunday night and Monday and, once again, a cold shot will give way rather quickly to milder weather beginning on Tuesday.
