Discussion

An area of moisture across the southeastern states will move up the coast today bringing more showers into the region and possibly an isolated thunderstorm. A weak front will then pass through the region tonight and this should usher in less humid air for Friday although it'll remain quite warm. After that, major changes are on the way. A strong cold front will advance to the east this weekend and a wave of low pressure is likely to form along that temperature boundary zone as it closes in on the coast. As a result, periods of rain are likely here Saturday night and Sunday from that wave of low pressure, and it’ll turn much colder on Sunday and the chill will continue into the first part of next week.
