Discussion

Following yesterday’s cold frontal passage high pressure will settle into our area and then it will strengthen as it shifts northeastward over the next couple of days. This high will then park itself over eastern Canada this weekend and a slow-moving western Atlantic low pressure system will develop off the Carolina coastline. This storm will slowly track northeastward next week just off the east coast possibly generating a prolonged period of onshore flow with the threat for rain in the Mid-Atlantic, coastal flooding and beach erosion.
