Discussion
Widespread and strong high pressure extends across our region to northern New England and the Canadian Maritimes and it will stay in control of our weather pattern over the next several days with little movement expected. A western Atlantic low pressure system will form over the weekend and it will begin a path towards the east coast early next week; however, at this time it looks like it will then turn northeastward and likely stay just far enough offshore to only throw some clouds and maybe a little light rain back into the Mid-Atlantic region.
