9:30 PM Severe weather possible late Monday; brutal heat possible Thurs-Sat

A massive heat wave will spread from the middle of the country to the east coast by the latter part of the new week and temperatures are likely to reach the 95-100 degree range for highs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Before we get to that blistering heat, however, we may have to deal with severe thunderstorms late Monday as a frontal system approaches from the west. This front could set off severe weather to include hail and damaging winds during the late afternoon or early evening hours on Monday. Tonight- clear, comfortable, lows near 65
Sun- mostly sunny, very warm and even more humid, near 90
Mon- partly sunny, hot and more humid, near 90; thunderstorms are likely late in the day or early at night and some of these storms can reach severe levels
Tues- partly sunny, hot and humid, chance for another shower or thunderstorm, low 90’s
Wed- partly sunny, very warm and humid, near 90
Thurs- partly sunny, very hot and humid, isolated thunderstorms, mid-to-upper 90’s for highs
Fri- mostly sunny, very hot and humid, isolated thunderstorm, near 100
Sat- partly sunny, very hot and humid, isolated thunderstorms, upper 90’s
