Discussion

High temperatures will be noticeably lower today through Wednesday compared to the last several days and our humidity will trend downward on Tuesday following the passage late tonight of a strong frontal system. Triple-digit highs were recorded at Reagan National Airport last Friday and Saturday with the high on Saturday of 102 degrees breaking the daily record for the date. After a few days of more seasonal temperatures, a return of hot and humid air will take place late this week. In fact, high temperatures are quite likely to reach the mid 90’s on Thursday, Friday and Saturday as another scorching air mass heads into the Mid-Atlantic.
