Discussion

More humid air will move into the region today and there is the threat for a late afternoon or evening thunderstorm as a batch of precipitation associated with a warm front heads our way. The tendency will be for some of this activity to weaken today; however, some storms are likely to survive the trip from northwestern Pennsylvania. It turns hotter tomorrow behind the warm front after another possible thunderstorm during the morning hours; however, the high temperatures are likely to “only” reach the low 90’s – nothing too extreme. A front then slides through by Saturday morning and this should lower our humidity for the weekend setting us up for a pretty decent weekend. Elsewhere, Tropical Storm Don has formed over the southern Gulf of Mexico and appears to be headed towards SE Texas with some beneficial rains.
