1:15 PM | "Clipper" train continues...accumulating snow tonight, snow showers likely later tomorrow/tomorrow night, more snow possible early next week

Paul Dorian

Discussion

The “clipper” train continues to roll and the next system will spread some accumulating snow into Philly and NYC by early tonight with a coating to an inch or two of accumulation likely by morning and slippery spots on the roads. The DC region will see some snow this afternoon into early tonight and a coating to an inch is likely down there. Tomorrow will be another cold day in the Mid-Atlantic and scattered snow showers are likely from the mid-day and afternoon hours right into the late evening after a break in the action during the early morning. There can even be some isolated heavier bands mixed in by later Sunday evening with accumulations again on the order of a coating to an inch or two along the I-95 corridor from DC to Philly to NYC. Yet another fast-moving system is likely to spread more accumulating snow into the Mid-Atlantic region Monday night/early Tuesday and then another one is possible for later Tuesday night into early Wednesday. Stay tuned as the action is fast. Finally, Phil says an early spring – don't think I agree, but it does sound good.
