Discussion

Monsoonal moisture has generated scattered showers and thunderstorms in the region this morning and it should retreat this afternoon to allow for gradual clearing skies. Then the usual pattern of late night and early morning low clouds and fog will resume this weekend and into next week, but the afternoons should feature clearing skies along with the seasonably cool conditions. High temperatures should hold in the low 70’s along coastal sections for the next several days which is pretty close to the current average of 74 degrees (at LAX).
