Discussion

High pressure that provided us with a great weekend will drift to our south and east today and this will allow for southwesterly flow of air and a slight warmup over the next couple of days. An area of moisture across the Great Lakes region this morning will drop slowly southeastward during the day and there is a pretty decent shot at showers and thunderstorms around here later on tonight and some of the rain that falls can be on the heavy side. Another good shot at showers and thunderstorms will come on Wednesday as a frontal system works its way to the region from the Midwest.
