Discussion

Unsettled weather continues in the Mid-Atlantic region as waves of low pressure move along a stalled out frontal boundary zone. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely to affect the metro region through Friday before Canadian high pressure takes control of the weather. That high pressure system will build southward and will promote a cool, low-level flow of air out of the east-to-northeast. As a result, temperatures will be confined to the below-normal 70's for highs this weekend and into the early part of next week.
