Discussion

The first couple days of the work week started off with some heavy rainfall and the threat for showers and thunderstorms will continue today as well. Deep moisture in the atmosphere and weak winds aloft will raise the chances that any shower or storm that develops will be slow-movers and able to produce additional heavy rainfall amounts in a short period of time. On the tropical scene, the Atlantic Basin remains very active with multiple systems to monitor in coming days.
