Discussion

A trough of low pressure will keep us a little cooler for today compared to earlier this week, but then high pressure will expand westward on Sunday and temperatures will return to normal through the middle of next week. Monsoonal moisture from the southwest US will be confined to the mountains and desert areas and this will produce a slight chance for afternoon thunderstorms in those locations through early next week. Some Pacific tropical moisture (Ilena) will also feed into the southern California region over the next couple of days.
